Kishargal belongs to one of the artist's well-known series that has been a turning point in his career: Goddesses of Nibiru. These unprecedented ethereal portraits reflect the interplay between the mythical and the real, the celestial and the earthly. Romulo Royo delves into the ancestral legends of millenary Asia, but this time from the Near East, recalling the dawn of mysticism through Mesopotamian and Babylonian traditions. Everything makes sense in another parallel and mystical world, Nibiru, home of gods, solar planet that orbits our star every three millennia.

This goddess named Kishargal shows the delicacy of the artist's techniques, intermingling an oil painting, where the gesture of the brushstroke and the glazes are of great importance, generating a miscellaneous texture that suggests the halo of divinity of the protagonist, revealed in vapours that blur details while imbuing us in her supernatural aura. Among these details, the spikes are perfectly appreciated as intrinsic elements of the artist's personality, which together with the penetrating gaze of the goddess suggest hardness among all this beauty.
