"Rómulo Royo’s jewelry collection retains all the symbolic essence of the artist’s pictorial artwork, with designs based on the metaphorical structure of its Goddesses. These Goddesses adorn their bodies with a multitude of pendants hammered out of metal which are not merely decorations but attributes that symbolize their rituals, customs and traditions. The intense colors of the turquoise, coral or volcanic stones used in this design remind us of the clay with which they anointed their bodies."
