"A snake slithers sinuously over this pendant, which is the centerpiece of the collection. It is made with a chunky onyx stone clasped in a sterling silver claw, on which the snake writhes, intent on hiding between the breasts of the woman wearing it. The necklace is made from volcanic stone, igneous stones that conjure up those charred lands, where the roots are writhe just like the snake. They are grouped in strings of nine, the same number of snakes as on the hilt of “Malefic”, with small garnet-red crystals symbolizing Luz’s tears of blood. They are grouped in strings of thirteen as she is the thirteenth daughter born to the Moon and Mars."
